Ugandan academic, non-fiction writer

Bwesigye bwa Mwesigire is a Ugandan academic, non-fiction writer and co-founder of the Centre for African Cultural Excellence. Bwesigye’s work has been published by Munyori Literary Journal, Chimurenga Chronic, Saraba, The Kalahari Review, This is Africa, The Guardian and anthologized in The World To Come and African Roar among others. He holds an LLM in Human Rights Law from Central European University and an LLB from Makerere University. He teaches Law and Human Rights at various universities in Uganda. He is the Co-founder of the Kampala-based Center for African Cultural Excellence that runs the continental Writivism (www.writivism.com) initiative.
