Albert Mubiru

Albert Mubiru is a performing arts producer at Batalo East in bound dance productions and the Batalo East Academy that helps dancers to become professional dancers, he holds a Bachelors in Economics from Makerere University, COP from insurance institute Uganda, diploma in management from UMI, certificate in arts management and sound engineering, a certificate in computer science and two CPD certificates.

He is currently the production director, festival manager, programme director for the Batalo East Academy and also the head of the Kuhamahama Dance Project in Batalo East, he is also a unit manager with National Insurance Cooperation specifically NIC life assurance.

He was the an Arts Summer Programme Coordinator for four years for Cal Arts and Brown university USA by professor Erick Ehhn in Uganda,
He was as well the East African producer of play productions of cooking oil by Deborah Asiimwe and Langi voices by Bloomburg Theater Ensemble USA.

Albert is a co-founder of the Proyecto de Latino International Dance Company and also runs the Serena Victoria Ballroom Annual Dance Event.

He has also helped in several independent dance productions i.e Kalambada by Tubu Flo, Mukilombe by Walter Ruva, production director of Omusinde by Vizuri Dance Company, as well as kkoolo breaking androgynous to mention but a few.

Albert is extremely passionate about the development of the performing arts industry in Uganda specifically the dance industry.
